The artist Castillo has been involved in the art scene for over thirty years. He served as an assistant in charge at the Museum of Fine Arts in Cuba and was also the deputy director of the Center for Visual Arts. Additionally, he pioneered the plastic arts genre in the Ceramics Department at Lenin Park. He has participated in 88 exhibits, with 47 showcasing his work exclusively. His art has been displayed in Cuban exhibitions in Vienna, Austria, and in various other countries.
